Help

Hi!
I just got my first Moto Q...and I am having some trouble figuring it out!! I downloaded some ring tones (which I am excited about!!) but I can't figure out how to stop them. Meaning...on my old flip phone if I got a text message, the ring tone would stop as soon as I opened my message. Right now if I get a message, the WHOLE ring tone plays even after I have read and deleted the message and it is really irritating. Does that make sense?? If someone could help me, I would really appreciate it! I would also like to know if it is possible to download another internet browser...like Mozilla.

Sorry for all of the questions!!
Thanks~
Kari

THere are loads of other browsers out there for Windows Mobile Smartphone.Ones you should take a look at - Opera Mobile 8.65 , JB5 , There is also Minimo made by Mozilla but it's way buggy and doesnt work half the time. Also, SkyFire which is currently in beta phase and should be available for download sometime soon. And if you download a Java emulator,You can try out Opera Mini.Stick with Opera Mobile and JB5 for now.
.
As for your ringtones, have you edited them down to a reasonable size or are you using the whole song?

I might add that you should keep your eyes open for the new version of Opera 9.5. Mozilla is also working on a mobile version of Firefox.

that's one of the problems with the Qs, that you need a short ring tone foe your txt. If you don't have a short one than it will play the whole thing.

take a look at inbox tones, its sticky'd at the top of the third party apps page. I'm using it on my q right now. With it you can set your tone to whatever song you want and have it stop playing at a preset time ( I use 10 seconds).

As far was web browsers I'm using pie and opera mini.
