My name is Michael Griffith. I joined the Hellomotoq.com community in April 2007 soon after I purchased my Q. I am a frequent visitor of the site. The users here have answered many questions that I have and in return I have tried to give back by answering as many questions as I can. One thing I had noticed was that there didn’t appear to be any moderators who visit the site frequently. It was with much thought and careful consideration that I asked Dale to make me a moderator.
As a moderator I plan to do the following:
Help users get the most exposure to their questions by making sure that new threads are submitted in the proper forum. For example, a question about hardware belongs in a Hardware forum instead of the Free for All and Off Topic forum. There are too many threads for me to try to reorganize them all but I am keeping an eye on all future threads.
Help keep the forums clean of double and triple posts. A lot of new users pop in here and post a question without searching the forums first. I don’t expect that to ever change. I am talking about users who post the same question in two or three forums. It can become confusing for other users to try to answer their question when it is in more than one place. I will merge threads and delete extra posts as necessary.
Help make sure that the rules of the community are followed. In particular, rules pertaining to copyrighted materials. I know I won’t be popular for this but users are not to upload warez or post links to download them. I will delete posts violating these rules on sight.
Help try to keep Hellomotoq.com a civil place. Everyone has the right to disagree with someone’s post. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t argue with someone if you disagree with them but no name calling please. If someone is acting like a moron their post will speak for itself.
I have posted my e-mail address and my Windows Live Messenger address. Please feel free to PM, IM or e-mail me any time. I will try to answer as quickly as I can.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the community. I hope that by adding a little moderation that I can give back some of what I have gotten.
Michael

i have a suggestion that should help make your life as well as all of ours a bit easier. How about adding a FAQ forum full of all the Noob questions (some of which i myself am guilty of asking) and answers so that we can avoid having to deal with repeating answers. it would also be useful to just have all the info in one place instead of hving to track it down.
