Welcome to HelloMotoQ ronaldaustin!

Hold down the home button for a couple seconds and a window will open up. Select 'Device Lock' and edit your setting there.

Just so you know, it might be a good thing that the device locks comes on automatically. The buttons on the q are sensitive. You can have it in your holster/case/pocket whatever and it will dial out, and you will be making calls you don't want to make. That's just my opinion.

But when you hold the home he down, select Device lock, but hit menu on it, not select. You should be able to edit settings there.

Oh I agree that I need to lock it when I place it in the holster, pocket of wherever. I got the timer set for 1 min now and seems to be ok. Thanks for your responses. I just have lots to learn, I'm use to the blackberry, but so far I love the "Q"
