Ok, I have tried multiple times today to send a picture that I took with the Qcam to a contact from my phone book and it would not work. I mean it gives me the "Insert" option and after that gives me three choices Picture, Voice Note, File but I cant select either one of them. Even if I am inside "My Pictures" folder and try to send it through there, they still didnt get it. Even when I tried sending it to myself, I don't get the attachment or anything.
Your problem is a strange one, there's no reason why your MMS would not allow you to select pictures. Did you try a soft-reset by turning your device and turning it back on? If that doesn't help, then I'm not sure exactly what's going on.
"Thank you for contacting Sprint together with Nextel. I apologize that you are having difficulties sending picture mail from your phone. I will be more than happy to assist you with this matter. To send picture mail from your windows mobile device you will have to send as an attachment in an email. You will need to set up and email account on your phone. Once you have set up the email account you will then be able to send as an attachment in an email. Since you will be sending as an email you will need to send in a certain format so the other phone will receive. If you are sending to another Sprint phone you will send email to 10digitphonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com. Here is a list of other providers. I have also provided a link that you can visit that has a list of all provider sms email address. Cingular 10DigitPhoneNumber@mobile.mycingular.com
Nextel 10DigitPhoneNumber@messaging.nextel.com
T-Mobile 10DigitPhoneNumber@tmomail.net
Verizon 10DigitPhoneNumber@vtext.com
ALLTEL 10DigitPhoneNumber@message.alltel.com. Here is link for the list http://www.supcast.com/providers.txt. The other phone will receive as a regular picturemail text message you will just have to send a different way."
Hope this helps. I'm updating my address book with additional email addresses.
sorry to be the buzzkill, but i followed these instructions to the tee and the only thing that happens is that a blank text message is sent with no picture. i even try to "insert" the picture from the menu while sending a text and the picture option cannot be selected. anyone have an alternative to this or did i do something wrong? thanks in advance
I have sprint Q and it works for me. try going to your pictures&video option. highlight the picture you want but dont view it. click on menu instead and you sould see a "send" option, then just choose text messages. Hope it works out for you
I agree with McGruff. Still, it is very important to check with the person you are trying to send to to ensure they have the capability of receiving these types of messages. The multi-media package is an add on feature for most carriers.
