I feel like total newbie .....................

How the heck do I change the home page for internet explorer? I want something like google, gmail, etc.... not eh sprint page it gives me.

I have tried everything to change it, I can add favorites but cant change that darn page!!!

Bear with me as an ex treo user gets up to speed!

Download Unlock-Q.zip and the MobileRegistryEditor.zip

Install the Unlock Q to your phone

Go to Applications to run it

Once that is done open up The Registry Editor

Navigate to:

HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/INTERNET_EXPLORER/ABOUTURLS

Modify the "home" key to include whatever landing page you want to use.
Just make sure to keep the "http://" in front of the URL or it will not work.

ok. i did this and i cant get it to work. i went to the about url then value in home. there are 3 place there 2 you can change the top i left home. the 2nd became Google. when i clicked on ie it goes to my favorites.

if you did the hack right you might need to power the phone off and back on for the settings to take effect.

just thought id throw this out there since previous posts are kinda unclear on this subject for ie homepage on q9h. in order to change ie homepage on q9h open reg edit. navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/AboutURLs

change values in home_0409 to the home page of your choice, remember to leave http://

Just thought id add this is on at&t q9h not sure if it matters
