when you go online to check email, do you mean that you go through Mobile IE, or do you use the phones fetch email utility?
if you do the first option, im not sure. 2nd option, you have to configure it to dl attatchments

Sorry I wasn't clear throught the mobile IE. I figured that was the problem, but I am also having problems with setting up my gmail account. Yahoo doesnt offer its free version for the Q yet, but my gmail set up won't work. If you know anyway to fix this please advise

To access Yahoo via POP you have to be a Yahoo Plus customer (pay service). Gmail has POP access for free, so your best bet is to figure out why your Gmail setup isn't working.
