e-mail access problems

I just got my new MOTO Q from Sprint PCS.

I was wondering if anybody can help setting up the connection to my corporate server, we use Microsoft Exchange Server.

We either connect via VPN or via OWA over https???

I will appreciate any help.

See page 9 of the "Setting Up Email Guide" that came with your Sprint Q.

you can just configure active sync to work with your exchange server.

  1. Press Start.
  2. Open ActiveSync.
  3. Press Menu.
  4. Choose Configure Server.
  5. For the server address enter the same address that you use for OWA without the preceeding https (i.e. enter mailserver.domain.com instead of https://mailserver.domain.com).
  6. Leave the checkbox next to This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection checked.
  7. Press Next.
  8. Enter your network username, password and domain.
  9. Check the checkbox next to Save Password.
  10. Press Next.
  11. Check the checkboxes next to each item you wish to synchronize.
  12. Press Finish.
  13. Press Sync.
If you get an error you will see the link View Status.
Follow the link.
You will see a more detailed error message.
Take note of the Support code.
Post it here and I will tell you what it means.

Good luck.

I have a Q that is connected to my company exchange suerver and bought my wife a Q as well so that she could use it for work. I have gone throgh the steps that I went through configuing my Q and my wife's Active Sync on her lappy won't see a partnership between the Q & Lappy. I think this problem may stem from the fact that I connect her phone to my laptop first, and it may not be recognizing the connection because of that. (or maybe I'm completely out of my mind).

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

Awwwww yeah! Nevermind all, I just figured it out, I had to create a new port in her lappys firewall for the active sync (990 if you need to know). well Thanks for any thought you put into that last post.
