In my office I have my yahoo email account sent to my Microsoft outlook. I just set up my phone and I used the pop3 to get the e-mails to my phone. This is working but they are not comming to my outlook mail box on my phone. They are going to the yahoo pop3 accont. How do I get the e-mail from the yahoo acount to download to my outlook? Similar to the way it works on my computer. I am stumped, Please help.
The Outlook account only works by synchronization with either your Outlook on your PC or a Microsoft Exchange server. You cannot get new POP3 email to appear in the Outlook folder.
This is caused by the way Yahoo handles POP access. Once you download an email via POP from Yahoo, whether it is from your PC or your phone, that message is no longer available via POP. Normally this only happens if your email client actually deletes the message from the POP server, but the Q does not delete messages from the POP server unless you delete the message from the Q. So apparently Yahoo deletes the message from the POP server the first time it is accessed, whether you intended to or not. This is similar to the way gmail works via POP as well. You might log into Yahoo and check the POP settings for your mail account to see if there is something that can be changed to prevent Yahoo from automatically deleting messages from POP.
