i just purchased a moto q and i would like use the phone as a modem with my mac powerbook. can anyone help?
i have the missing sync software but can't figure out how to connect to the internet through my phone.
Short version:
Sprint does not have Wireless Connection Manager software for the Mac, and even if they did, you would not want to use a Sprint Q as a modem without paying Sprint for the Phone-As-Modem option, or they would shut your service down. PDAnet is a way around this but again, no Mac version.
That is correct. Sprint will not charge you extra for using PDAnet. From their side it appears that you are using just another app on the Q that happens to access data, albeit a LOT of data, just like streaming video to an Orb player would.
