the instructions also specify deleting earlier versions, but I did not see any when I looked in "Add & Remove Programs". I just got my Q yesterday, and synced all of my contacts, calendar, & tasks with no problems...

it also allowed me to transfer music via Windows Media sync, but I have yet to figure out how to use them as a ring tone.

This was done on Vista Ultimate 64 bit (which seems to be incompatible with damn near everything), and Outlook 2007.

There's no respect for 64-bit Windows. I think that's a shame.

I put the one the one mp3 file that I wanted for a ringtone in \My Documents.

Thank you to mtg1974 . . .

You saved me lots of frustration, Thanks!

I did go and download the Microsoft Mobile Center latest version and installed it on my brand new Vista Notebook - which already had an older version which would not recognize my Q.

Now all things Outlook and Q are syncronizing perfectly.

Once again, Thanks for the tip.

Dave k.

Do you have Windows Media Device Center?

Have you followed the steps to set it up?
