I recently moved and since i've been in my new area (has sprint coverage) i have been unable to recieve calls. The only time i know when someone has called is if they leave a message, then the voicemail notification pops up.
I can access the internet and send texts, but it takes an hour or two to recieve texts.
I've been on the phone with sprint for a long time and they keep telling me everything seems fine on their end.
I doubt its some simple phone setting, but i thought I'd ask.
Try a power cycle. Turn phone off and then remove the battery. Leave the battery out for at least one full minute. Pop the battery back in and you should be good to go.
If doesn't work answer this question for me.
1. Does only happen where you live or work? or everywhere?
Ok here is what you want to do. Goto sprint.com there is a power network coverage tool on the right side put your full address and zoom and see if there is a blind spot in your home. The only reason why that wouldnt happen is for some reason your phone is not getting to the towers and when it gets coverage it receives the txt and be ables to do so.. as the server tries to do it for 72 hrs constanly and then it gives up. if its a problem everywhere then i would call directly to advance tech and see if everything needs to be provisioned again. And if its not even that and its problem everywhere then take your phone to the store. Make sure if you are within 4 weeks to add TEP else they will charge to repair. ask the rep on the phone to reprovision everything on service pro and see if that might help.
fyi if both arrows on top are moving up and down and you are browsing net phones dont receive a call... ph can make either a data call or a voice call only... when they stop moving then and then only it gets to you.
I have the same prob. I will not hear the phone ring, but all of the sudden I get a notification that I have voice mail. Kinda weird mainly because I don't hear the phone ring, but I am notified that I have voice mail.
Let me know if you ever get this figured out, I would like to know what causes this.
I had the Same problem. The lest time I talked with sprint they were able to fix it. Every time I was outside of my home calling area I could never receive incoming calls. When I talked to a Sprint customer service person they had me re-enter a new MSID#. They have to give you the lock code over the phone inorder to do this but it worked for me.
