For some reason, when I try to download my gmail, it gets ALL the email that I have and not the new ones. I've moved my mail to my ARCHIVE folder and out of the Inbox, but to no avail.
Before your Username type "recent:" no quotes or spaces before the name. That should do exactly what you are after.
Thanks! I'll try that
EDIT-It didn't work I kept getting errors until I removed recent. I have it set for today's mail retrieval, I guess i'll try the "First 500 bytes" option instead
Still a no-go I typed it in with the colon andit proceeded to download everything as usual. even when switching to "First 500 bytes" it still gets everything. I'll have to just catch the new email and hit cancel quickly when old ones show up.
I'm coming in the middle here so excuse me if I'm off topic this appears to be the first thread. (newbie to forums)
Are you sure is downloading your messages or is it just.. "Checking 23 of 87" in sequential order? If it's just checking messages, then it will not download them. Just the last 3 days or whatever you have it set at.
Oh ok! It's probably that. When I see the message at the top saying :'1 of 178' I panicked. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I should have just waited to see if indeed all the msg were coming out. Thanks again for all the help!
