How can i make the web on the Q faster

Rather than stand by a cell tower, you can try this hack:

Moto Q Speed Increases

The following 2 hacks increase system performance and makes the Q more responsive:
• Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\
Changed limit from 16384 to 32768
• Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS
Changed - CacheSize to 4096

I tried these, and my Q seems to be faster while on the web. You'll need a registry editor to do this (I use the Resco registry editor)...

Weird,

Just as I suspected -- the above changes cause my Sprint Q not to sync -- the computer won't see the Q.....

Later,

Matt!

Those are rather common registry hacks. I've done them on mine. Are you sure that they are what's causing you to no longer be able to sync?

Things that I've seen eat battery life are:
  • Roaming and searching for service - If I'm going to be in an area that doesn't have service I'll turn my phone off to save battery.
  • Instant Messenger - MSN Messenger will drain your battery quick. If you have to use it make your conversation quick!
  • Bluetooth - I listened to music the other day on my Bluetooth headphones for about four hours and used about 50% of my battery.
  • Leaving programs open (especially Internet Explorer) - The task manager is in my list of frequently used programs on the home screen.
  • Excessive checking of POP e-mail - other users have reported that the more often you check the faster your battery goes down.
I sync with an Exchange server 24/7 (push e-mail), browse the internet and make a few calls each day and I charge every evening.
