I was wanting the sprint unlimited data plan and was under the impression that it cost 39.99 or something close to that.
But then i read about someone saying how the unlimited data plan is only 15 bucks a month but if you wanted the your phone as a modem it cost you 39.99.
Does anyone just have the EVDO service for 15 bucks?
my "phone as modem plan" with sprint is 39.99 a month for unlimited service. However if you just wanted evdo for your wireless device it is 15.99 a month...but no modem access...
funny story. i bought a Moto Q from ebay and had it activated. after two weeks the evdo stopped working on the Q but started to work on my RAZR (my original phone). I called sprint about the Q not working but i never mentioned the RAZR to them. After a few days they fixed the Q and the RAZR still has unlimited data service...
Anybody had this happen to them?P
If you go to the Sprint site you can verify yourself that the Power Vision pack for the Q (including unlimited data) is only $15 a month and the Phone-As-Modem option is $39.99.
However keep in mind that the data package prices are in addition to your regular monthly charges. The cheapest plan you could possibly get that included unlimited data would be the Sprint Basic Plan (200 minutes, no free mobile to mobile, N/W starting at 9) with the Power Vision pack for $44.99 a month.
I have the Sprint Power Vision Plus Pack for $10 a month but...
My wife and I share 800 minutes and we both have nation wide long distance, nights and weekends starting at 7:00, free Sprint to Sprint calling, 300 SMS messages, insurance, and she has the same internet plan I do so my bill is about $150 a month.
Just got off the phone w/sprint. You can get the Power Vision Pro for $30 and it includes unlimited text and data, and a lot of other stuff I probally don't need but I was already paying $30 for Power Vision and unlimited text. At least now I can kill my battery in no time. LOL

Did you ever get 'caught' with a whopper bill for the RAZR?
Careful with PdaNet. I used it for a short while, then all of a sudden I saw, besides my regular charges, "casual EVDO" charges for almost $30. I called sprint and talked to a super cool CSR in Kansas City, who explained to me that Sprint "is hip" to the PdaNet application and that they do have a way of discovering if you use it, and they will charge you for it, if you don't have the phone-as-modem plan. After realizing that HE (yes a guy) was flirting with me on the phone, I took it for what it was worth, flirted back with him, and he credited the charges to me, along with a $25 courtesy credit, so i got $55 off my bill (I will flirt with anyone if it takes money off my bill)....

You have one of the old school plans that I know cause I have the same plan! lol Plus Unlimited SMS for 5 bucks.
Every once in a while Sprint calls me and asks if I want to upgrade to a new plan. I laugh and say no, the new plans cant beat what I pay for.
