Web Browser? Instant Messenger?

I'm new to the forum and to having a Q, so please no flames..

But I was just wondering is there any way I could access the internet through a browser without having to pay? Or also an instant messenger for the same way, without pay? It'll be a great help to let me know, thanks a lot. If you could also e-mail/IM me that would be great, because I'm not on here very often.. Thanks so much in advance.

Paying is the best option going for the q, but you can try dial up. It is quite difficult to set up, but you can get it. 15$/month with verizon is not that bad. I do not know the equivalent with sprint.

Yeah, I see your reasoning, but thing is I don't really think $15 is all that bad, but is bad if I don't use it as often. Especially since I'm gonna be going back into High School pretty soon it won't be easy to access during a school day, that's why I'm tryin to see if there is a free one even if it is like a dream come true.

Can you link me to a thread that tells me how?
