Since last Wednesday, I've been unable to access my Sprint voice mail on the Moto Q. I get an icon that shows I have voice mail waiting. I dial voice mail and it asks for my PIN code, followed by the pound sign. I enter all of that and it asks for it again. Repeat ad infinitum. If I call from my land line phone, I can access Sprint voice mail with no trouble. So, there has to be something wrong with the my Q. I don't know if something is broken or if it's a changed setting. Is there anything that could affect my ability to send tones from the keypad?
I never got past this roadblock. I later found that I can't use any conference call services either. The program at the other end is not "hearing" my PIN code. This is getting critical, since I need to make conference calls from my Q
Problem solved! It came from my own fiddling: both problem and resolution. I went to Settings-->Phone Settings-->DTMF. I had DTMF tone set to "Off". That meant no tone was being sent. Doh! I changed it to short tone and everything works like it ought to now.
