I'm having the strangest problem with my battery. It's happened twice now. Last night I put it on the charger (as I always do with my phone before going to sleep), and woke up to see that little info message that says "phone fully charged".
I go through my morning rituals and after about an hour or so, I'm ready for work. On the way to work I spend about 3 minutes on the phone with my girlfriend and send 2 text messages to my brother.
I get to work, and and I have one bar left on the phone's battery charge. ONE BAR?! I think it's some issue with the phone reading the battery wrong or something (I'm new at this Windows Mobile thing , so I reboot it. No change.
After about 30 mins, I get the alert saying my phone is out of battery and it's telling me to save data. Mind you, I've had my phone off the charger for a total of 1 hour (if that) by now. Luckily, the chick in the cube next to mine has a RAZR (same charger duh). So I plug my baby in. It takes it less than 30 mins to get back to "fully charged" status. And now it's operating like normal.
I guess I'm trying to figure out if this is normal? Or did I get a Q with a defective battery?
I leave my Q on 24/7 and I charge it every night in the Motorola cradle connected to my PC. Plugging it into the wall is supposed to be a faster charge but I don't think it matters if I use my PC or the wall because I leave it charging overnight while I'm asleep.
The fact that it displays the fully charged screen should mean that it is fully charged. If you press OK with the phone still plugged in does the battery status bar still show plugged in?
Instead of just cycling the power have you tried removing the battery and plugging it back in?
The wall charger shouldn't be able to charge your phone in 30 minutes. I think the phone is lying to you.

I woke up this morning and had a very similar experience. Battery was on 1 bar after no use at all.
However, I did like you recommended and disconnected the battery for a few minutes and it worked. The battery is reporting the strength correctly now. Thanks a bunch.
