Sorry if this is a repeated question... I have the unlimited PCS Vision Data plan and a Moto Q. I am curious how I can use my data plan for the internet connection on my laptop without purchasing the $59 access plan from sprint?
Alltel users install their Q as a modem then dial #777 is there something similar for sprint? If so is there a charge to use it?
I've also read about PDANet, does anyone with a Q and Sprint use that? If so, was there any raise on your monthly bill?
Pdanet is absolutely the way to go. One time charge for the program and then you use your unlimited plan to connect to the internet. No need for the extra fees from your carrier. Follow the link above.
No, buy the WM version from the link above and away you go. When you connect your Q with the USB cable it will detect the connection and all you do is click to connect. Very simple. I have read that you can also connect using bluetooth but I have not tried that. It is slower than the USB connection. I occasionally lose my connection at home so I slap on the phone and keep on plugging away. I have also used it in the car while traveling.
