is there a way to play youtube videos on the sprint q??? or a like site with a vast selection like youtube??? also how can i get aim on it? ive tried im+ witch doesnt work and one mundu messenger also doesnt work. help please people....thanks in advance!
Wow....where are you installing these? Inside the battery cover? haha...kidding! Cause IM+, Mundu, Octro, Slick and Palringo all work for AOL, Yahoo, MSN and others....on a sprint Q! We could maybe help ya if you told us how they are not working!
ok im+ wouldnt connect mundu just would run correctly octro only gave me gtalk and jabber option. maybe its me.....what one is the best for aim? also im still tryin to get youtbe working if someone has def got it to work and could tell me how they did it that would be great. thanks again people......
I have a aim accnt and weeded out all the apps but slick and palringo. I got the free mundu when it was offered but these two I like best. both are installed on my card and slick needs nothing but inputing your aim credentials. palringo needs to be signed up for via there website...free takes minutes. you then sign in with your palringo credentials (email/password) then your aim stuff. post back if you get stuck along the way!
youtube...assuming you have the tcpmp cab (72Rc1) and FVB cab (1.4.4). i installed all this on my card. click on the tcpmp cab after you move it to you Q. install to card. after it done you should see a tcpmp folder under program files. i then moved the fvb cab to that folder and clicked on it. install to card again. after that is done you should see two added folders within your tcpmp folder...sites and sites.clean. Should be it. for some vids audio you will need the aac codec also. install that the same way as you did fvb. to test youtube go to your start menu and you should now see a video sites link. for sure all the "full" links for youtube will work. all of this will not allow you to watch the mobile youtube. when you click on a vid you should see a lil box pop up with options to play, save or goto link. when you click play give tcpmp a bit to start. you will also need to set the file associations within tcpmp for the vids to play. options..settings..select page..file associations..for sure check flash, http, mms and everything else you want tcpmp to take over. I check everything but picture stuff. if the video plays rough you can adjust buffering. tons of settings within tcpmp you can tweek.
