I recently got a huge data bill from my last months bill. Does anyone have enough experience with ATT customer service to know if they would lower the data charge on the latest bill if I were to pickup an unlimited data plan?
I remember my sister a while back had a huge text messaging bill, and her bill was actually lowered in exchange for buying the unlimited text messaging.
Stand your ground! They hate loosing customers. I deal with them enough to know that you in fact get to call the shots. I just had my unlimited media package with unlimited text lowered today to $35 down from $40. They tried to charge me $50 so I cancelled the whole package. They called me back an hour later offering me the cheaper package. Just tell them you didn't know you were on the internet. You may have to look like a jackass but whats the difference....you will never see them face to face.
I just talked to them today....the rep was very nice. noticed that for some reason i had my 2 phones as seperate accts but they were supposed to be a family group. She changed my plan around to how i wanted it....added unlimitied features...
I mentioned how my latest bill was ridiculiously high for what i was doing with my phone...and without argument she helped me with the best options and put my acct under invesigation to straighten out the overcharges...they said they'd call 5-7days and let me know what i actually own, then we'll discuss that.
I added a line to family talk and also added unlimited text and for some reason even though I got the e-mail conformation it didn't reflect on my account so I got a bill for over $500 my heart dropped to the floor when I saw it. I got on the phone and they fixed it and now the bill is about 180... phew I was trying to figure out when I was going to break the $500 news to the wife I've been a customer sense 98 and they were Bell South and you (around here) were lucky to get a signal in the middle of town. They are really nice to deal with when I call and have a problem.
ATT called me the other day to follow-up on my billing and plan issues..After their investigation, the dropped my bill from almost $500 down to $200...i was relieved to see that when i visited my acct online.
Customer Service has always been a big help to me as well.
You couldn't say all of the above for Verizon.Sheesh..they got all of their reps outsourced overseas somewhere. Those people dont know squat and cant speak english properly.Maybe AT&T has many poor service areas, but I guess one thing still stands tall for them.......quality customer service.
