Moto q Busted Please help

Hi I have a Moto Q for att and my friend gave me this phone because he couldn't get it to work. So I wanted to give it a try. I turn it on and it says "this concludes the beta test of this software release. Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our customers. To obtain a newer release or further information, please revisit the website that that you used to obtain your current beta release." Can anyone help me I love this phone and it's in good shape so can anyone help me out thanks.

To hard reset on the older Q press and hold the center select button when you power on the phone. I think on the newer ones it's Z and E or Z and C.

To perform a hard reset, remove and replace the battery, then hold down the*and E keys for 5 seconds while turning your smartphone on
