I have set up the built in client (on the Q) to pop my Telus inbox. I don't see where (in the account settings) an option to delete mail from the server (after the account has been popped).
Likely I am missing something basic. I have been using the Q for just a day or two.
Note: I am not accessing this account with any external client (other than the client on the Q)

That depends on the email account that you have. There is no option in the Q to delete mail from the server. Most commonly that is done from the settings of the email in the website, like allow forwarding and to leave the copy or delete it from the server.

Ok, thanks: all the (none mobile) email clients I use include an option to 'delete mail from the server', and also have options to set alternate authentication, (for different SMTP clients) as well as being able to set different Port numbers for https (etc) These mobile clients seem to be pretty useless. With some accounts I am not even able to view messages (unless they are 'unread') Are there any good clients out there, that I might want to check out?
'You can't delete from server after read but when you delete a message it asks you if you want to delete from "phone only" or "phone and server". That is one way to remove from the server.
