running programs......kill or not to kill?

I have downloaded the don`t forget app onto my moto Q,do I need to leave it running in my "running programs" for it still to work or can I "kill" it and it still function when I get a missed call? I have been told to "kill" any of the running programs to conserve battery life is the only reason I am asking.

I've never heard of this program. Do you have a link?

Some apps run in the background and don't show in Task Manager and some do. If this programshows in Task Manager then you should leave it running.

Send a message via AIM to JDMotoQ

It varies really. When I first got my Q, I'd open up Internet Explorer, Play Solitaire, go through my Contacts, check my text messages, then open up Media Player, without really 'closing' any of them... and my standard battery would tap out in roughly 3 hours.

So on mine, that's 5 apps running to 3 hours. You'll have to just test things out to figure a decent combo of what to leave running/not running. If you leave one thing running in task manager, and if it's barely used, it shouldn't hinder battery life too much.

If you kill it via standard task manager you will see the little ! icon go away in the iconbar and that means you have just turned DontForget off! I dont think it uses much power...had it long time.
