I have noticed that this program is always running:MMQCE.EXE
I can kill it and leave it on the task manager screen for like 5 seconds, hit refresh and its back on.Could someone tell me what it is and if I need to turn it off and if so,how? Also I did this:
HOW TO FIX YOUR Q!!!! (Or something less dramatic) - Motorola Q Forum | Everything Q but couldn`t figure out how to do this part*) DISABLE WirelessSync (both Push/ReadySync) BEFORE starting this process.
I followed the rest of those steps and haven`t noticed the "pda" icon to the left of my battery meter(homescreen).Do I need to do that noted first step still or am I ok?
My reasoning is that I had my Q on for 8 hours after a full charge(phone is a week or two old) and it had only 1 bar left and I made 3 phone calls(5 mins or so long each) and recieved like 9 e-mails today. Is that normal or not?
as for the MMQCE.exe I believe that is your mobile email. I always kill everything but that
Battery life - you will need to charge it every night no matter what you do. Always remember to kill the programs and that will help. I normally get mine to last until 9pm and that's just doing text messages and emails, no calls.
well I can kill that program(MMQCE.EXE)and it comes right back anyway, but I have my e-mail disabbled(?????) I charged my phone till 10pm last night or so..left it on all night on idle till 10am this morning, with no calls, text,or e-mails and only had 1 bar left
delete the mobile email program if you don't want it on, it probably runs in the background even if you don't have an email set up. Not sure though cuz I've never checked that. I have a couple emails set up. You can always download the program again if you decide you want to use email.
Sorry but to me what you described...phone being on for 12 hours and then only having one bar even after not using it...is normal. In my opinion.
I'm guessing that's why it comes with a second battery. You definitely need it.

lol ok,thanks only thing sucks is I have a hard case for my phone and it won`t fit with an extended batt. I have never seen a hard case that fits when using the bigger battery.
Well I deleted the telus e-mail from my phone and it hasn`t lost a bar yet and that was 4 hours ago.It seems to have done the trick but now I can`t get any e-mails on my phone (which sucks ) I guess you gotta pick one or the other.
the email definitely sucks up the battery life. If you want to do email on it then you have to learn to live with the poor battery life. In my experience any PDA will need to be charged at the end of the day.
As for the hard case... no i haven't seen one for the extended battery. I'm sure they're out there somewhere.
