New phone?

After using my q for 2 years i've come to relize its kind of boring. I want something new but everything that telus offers for smartphones probably have some sort of issues with it. So i'm wondering what are some other phones that are supported on the telus network but aren't sold by telus.

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure that if you had an unlocked unit and activated it on the Telus network you wouldn't get any support. I know if someone came into our store and it wasn't a telus phone we couldn't do anything. When you call into data support they have specs and known issues and trouble shooting for Telus phones.

As for newer phones, the HTC S640 is nice. It's very similar to the Q but it's a bit smaller. This is likely what I will be getting unless they get a new Q.

Would not recommend the Palm 700wx, tons of issues! Few issues with the HTC touch also.

i have the original Q. I'll have to check out the other Q's. When i went by the rogers store they were trying to sell me the Q9h or something like that but the plan was going to be $150 when i told him i wasn't going to pay more than $75.

A few features i would like to have would be wifi, 4gb storage, headphones (non bt), email, msn, office. but from what i see telus offering so far this year the HTC S640 beat the rest.

Now the job of convincing them they missed my birthday and a new phone is the only way they can make it up to me.

What kind of apps do you guys have on your Q?

The Q9h is an awesome phone. I have the Q9c it is basically the same as the Q9h but's it from a diffrent carrier. I use Sprint. And mine is chrome where i belive the Q9h has a lil red in it. A few of the features it has that im not too sure the Q doesnt is, built in GPS, Sprint TV, MSN, Yahoo, and AIM, Office, Word,Spread sheet,Slideshow,PDF to go, and you can use your phone as a modem (not sure if the regular Q does that) it has the non-bt headphone 2.5mm out you were looking for,
And it is compatible with the 2gig SDcards and i belive the ones upwards of 2gig also. As far as the wifi goes, Im pretty sure you can get a wifi enabled SDcard that can also be used for multi-gig storage. My phone is used way more for fun then work so I just basically have NES emulator and every possible game, Live Search for the real-time GPS,TCMP for movies, Sprint Navigation for turn by turn nav,Palringo for chat, Resco Registry editor, and a butt load of themes...i feel the need to change them almost daily, and Yahoo Go just for the heck of it. thats it man.Its a great phone id think about if i was you...happy phone hunting!
