Disconnecting from net

I just got a Moto Q and I have sooo many questions but I will start with this one.

When I go online to get my mail I have to turn my phone off then back on to disconnect from the internet. Is there another way to disconnect or is that it?? I've tried the Kill all programs running but that well ... just kills the programs that are running.LOL It sucks ass because If I forget I can't receive phone calls!! but I can make them...weird...I dunno!!

Someone, anyone, please help me.

Also this is my first post so I hope I did it right!!!

Hello Mando,

This is the easiest way i've found. While on the home screen, make sure the "Home Service" banner is highlighted(it also has the clock on the same line).Push in your thumb wheel and the "Wireless Manager" will pop up.Use the thumb wheel to select "Phone".Push in the chrome button on the 5-way button. This will turn the phone transmissions off.Push it again and it will reactivate the phone only until you select Internet Explorer again.Hope this helps.

Thanks caddydeville99,

I can't get the "home Service" line to highlight though. Grrrr LOL I did discover though from reading other posts that putting it into flight mode and then out of flight mode will do it. It's a pain in the ass!! I shouldn't complain though it was free! heehee I do wish I could get to this "wireless manager" though.

I done some playing around and discovered that you cant always choose the "home service" option on all the home screens.I use "windows basic" and I am able to select it from there. This home screen has a much cleaner look.

I also noticed that you use Telus.I am not familiar with them but I do know that Verizon(my carrier) uses there own software in every phone manufactured for them.We may not have the same options.Anyways,goodluck.

Hello again Mando,

I haven't been a Q user for long. They did leave alot of user functions out of the menu.I am thinking about trying the smart tweaker program. When I do i'll let you know if it was worth 15.00 dollars or not.Take care.
