Unless I did it wrong I don’t think it’s not going to work. Hope someone or you see something I can use. Or I might have to try and get Palm 700wx that’s has word, excel, pprt on it. more $$$
I think I got it. See attach I reinstalled office06. I think reason it didn’t open there was nothing there. But when you said see if I can save a word DOC. and after pushing a few things I found it. Here are two things I did over there. One more question or too do I have to keep the samples I did in order to continue to see them, and can I delete the zip for office 06 to save space. I did one in excel also but its acting office 2007 excel keeps taking over from office 03 But thanks for all your help this might even save me some money from buying the palm thank you

Office 6 cannot create new documents so you need to keep a blank document of each type on your phone.
Office 6 does not support the new Office 2007 file formats. There is an Office 6.1 that does but when you try to run the install it fails because it checks to see if you have Windows Mobile 6 (remember that this Windows was taken from Windows Mobile 6).
The warning you saw when you tried to transfer the files is normal. I think you already figured out that you can ignore it.
You don't need to keep any of the cab installers you copy to your phone but I strongly suggest you keep a copy of them on your PC.
If you want Office 2007 support (and even if you don't) I suggest dumping Office 6 and buying Documents To Go. Docs To Go will give you support for the new Office files, Adobe PDF and zip files.
