Hey, if you dont like the freeware that is available for your device why dont you just make your own? Instead of complaining about it you should give thanks to all of us programmers who put countless hours into making a nifty lil program thinking it will make peoples lives easier and more enjoyable. It's hard work! And time consuming. What do you expect to find? A plugin that projects a holographic personal assistant from your IR port?

I totally agree with you on this one, Quixotic.

As for the holographic personal assistant from the IR port.. That's good stuff! Why do I remember a TV show from the early 90's (i think) where this guy was a cop from the future, and he had a credit card that would project his holographic assistant... lol.

i wasnt complaining about the freeware available i was pointing out that the site listed is not all freeware like it advertises. instead it is composed of alot of trialware which you can get anywhere. i actually found a bunch of great sites that have truly freeware for these phones but since you are such a jackass i have no intention of sharing them with you. i could care less what you do for a living. programmers are paid for what they do are they not? and if not are they not training to get a job or working towards starting their own company or paid in ad revenue? they put countless hours making these applications because they are paid to do so. period. many companies offer freeware because they are paid for this in other ways. so thanks for nothing. i went elsewhere and found my answer.

thanks for including to mention that you found freeware and how it was a misunderstanding at the same time while depriving everyone of this valued information.

Smartphone Freeware is supposed to be all freeware but sometimes I think that some shareware gets in. There are also links on the page to a sister site, MobileTopSoft that offers shareware.

As far as "useless apps", one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I disagree. Not all software is free (and rightfully so). I enjoy being able to download a free trial to see if it is something I like before I buy it. For example, I tried several calendar replacements before I settled on Agenda One.

A lot of programmers put a lot of hard work into writing programs I couldn't even begin to. They have every right to give their work away or ask for some money in return.

There are some people who think that everything should be free. Some programmers resent these peoples' complaining. I can't say that I blame them.

That was probably a little too far. I think you could have made your point without it.

Not necessarily so. Many software titles are created by programmers in their free time to do something cool, add a wanted function or whatever. They can choose to give their work away for free or ask for some sort of compensation.

I pointed out that QUIXOTIC's post was over the top but you're being a jackass too. I won't tell you guys to apologize to each other but no more flaming.

But MTG... you missed the most important reply here... can anyone confirm if I'm right about the old tv show with the cop from the future, and his holographic credit card assistant? LoL
