Removing icons from start menu

I have installed several third party programs that I later removed, however the icons for these programs are still taking up space in the start menu. Anyone know how to delete these now?

Welcome to HelloMotoQ s4kicks! That's a great question! Here's how you go about doing it:

In Microsoft ActiveSync click on Explore then navigate to: My Windows Mobile-Based Device\Windows\Start Menu. All the shortcuts should be located in there.

Select the icons you want removed and hit delete. They should immediately be removed from your Motorola Q.

Please let us know if you have any other questions!

you are probably talking about the MRU (Most recently used) list, not the start menu. To get rid of it on the MRU, just open a bunch of different apps until it is pushed off the list.

The start menu is the screen accessed by pressing the left soft key labeled start.

In File Explorer press Menu then Options. Make sure Hide Hidden Files and Hide System Files are unchecked. Press Done.
