Does anyone know if US Cellular will give out mobile 6.0 upgrades on phones with 5.0? I didn't read up as much as I should have when looking at phones. I didn't know there was a Q9M with Windows Mobile 6.0. I would have bought that instead if I only knew about it. When I went to the US Cellular store, they had the Q and that was it. Shouldn't they have had the new versions too? I feel that I got something outdated when there is a newer phones out. The whole lack of WiFi on the Q has me annoyed. I thought the Q had WiFi and I even asked the girl at the US Cellular store who I bought my Q from if it would work with WiFi and she said yes. I really wanted WiFi since we have it at work. And to find out that I don't have the fast internet that they said the Q has, well, that sucks. I found out that I'm not in the fast internet zone. I thought it was all over. If I could get the Windows Mobile 6.0 upgrade, would the Spectec SDW-822 card work? It says its for the Moto Q9M with Mobile 6.0. If US Cellular could somehow get the Q9M, would they let me upgrade to that one even though I just bought this one? Thanks
I dought it. My credit isn't the best so I don' think Verizon will take us. My wife and I already had US Cellular and we just renewed our contract with tthem when we got our new phones. I love the phone, especially watching movies. I just wish the internet was as fast as what people were saying. And not being able to watch youtube or other things that require java.
Sorry you got a lame sales person. But I bet you would've got the q even if you knew that you couldn't get high speed internet. Your wife was probably eligible for an upgrade, and you couldn't leave without a cancellation fee.
That sucks. Yeah, our two year contract that we had with them was up this October so we went to the store to "just look" at phones. I had looked at the US Cellular website to see what was new with phones besides the blackberry. A friend at work has a blackberry. I didn't like the fact that it didn't have a camera and it didn't have a memory expansion slot. Those were my main concerns. See, with my job (hospital security), I often have to sit with psych/overdosed/drunk patients in ER for several hours and they are usually sleeping the most time. That is pretty boring so I wanted something to keep myself entertained. Well, the Q does it pretty well. But since we have WiFi throughout the hospital, I thought that would be just awsome to have high speed internet. I'm used to very high speed internet here at work and the Q has very very very very 71mbps slow internet speed. It basically sucks but at least it works I guess. Movies are great on it. I suppose I can wait two more years and hope US Cellular gets something with a little better as far as WiFi capabilities and something that isn't as restricted on the internet. I upgraded from a Motorola V262 so I shouldn't complain too much

Does the Q9m have WiFi? Just curious. Also, you have a 30 day trial on the Q through USC. If you don't like it that much then take it back. There are a couple things you can install so you can stream videos from YouTube. On a 1x network it's a little laggy though, but there are also a few registry hacks you can do to make the internet a bit faster. I use Resco registry editor.
