I doubt that my post is going to help much in getting to the answer you seek, but I just bought a brand new Moto Q from a US Cellular store on friday. I don't see any reason it wouldn't work for US Cellular. Only thing I can think of is the programming for the phones. Other than that, I don't see much stopping you from using it. As long as its programed for US Cellular.
Most carriers do not allow other carriers phones even of the same make/ model to be added to their network for many reasons. Your biggest issue would be getting the phone unlocked so uscc could program it, but chances are they won't let you activate it anyway unfortunately.
