does anybody else have free internet? because for some reason i am not paying for the internet plan but i when i connect to the internet i am just charged for minutes.
my guess at why:
i recently returned my razor and bought the q from costco. when i look at my account on the verizon site, it has a question mark for the phone i am using.
does anybody else have a guess why?, like is it a free trial? i mean its not a bad thing, but i am just intrigued on why
Maybe you stumbled on something weird, but it is also possible to have the pay as go data plan. There is no monthly fee but you pay per KB. call #3282 and see what your data usage is - you get a free SMS message that will tell you. My guess is, that if they see you uisng data, they will charge for it.
I had a M710 for two years with Verizon. They changed their iXRTT network for data enable phones to charge data against minutes on plan. What you describe suggest that this plan is carrier over to the EVDO network. Probably not! Check to see if you are getting EVDO service when using the phone this way. If so great for you!!! Don't tell Verizon.
did u have vcast on your old phone? if so techinically speaking if you pay the 15 dollars a month for vcast, it's unlimited data on v-cast phones. now the people at costco may not know how to properly add or remove features on accnt's....so you may have a cheaper plan for data usage.
i called to check the data usage and they told me that the data usage is zero. i checked my verizon account online and on my plan there is no charge for data or for vcast or for internet. guess im just lucky
So, my old v265 had gone dead and I was looking forward to purchasing a Motorola Q. On my v265, I had set up a home WAP proxy and only wasted airtime minutes to access the internet. It was only after my purchase that I noticed the Motorola Q charges $0.015 per KB, or as a CS told me, approximately 30 cents per page. This seemed rather an outrageous price seeing that visiting three pages already costs a dollar, so I was wondering if it will be possible to configure it to use airtime only like I did with my v265

The first item on this website says that you can connect to Wifi and I'm assuming that my router in college would suffice. However, I've also heard many times that the Q does not come with Wifi capability
