I've had alot of problems with Outlook on my computer. I would like to manage my names and numbers on my computer. I had about 200+ names and numbers in my phone, and my phone suddenly wouldn't turn on after only having it for a month. Is there any other program besides Outlook that is compatible with with Q9m that will work to manage contacts?
You can try Motzilla Thunderbird, I've used it before, not with the Q so I don't know if it will sync. I just know it is an alternative to Outlook and it's free.
I use Thunderbird for email, and Sunbird for Calendar. There is an app called Birdiesync that will sync your Q with those. You can try it at full functionality for free for something like 20 days. Then it is $30 to register. It installs on top of ActiveSync, and adds categories there.
When you install Thunderbird, import your mail folders/contacts into it first. Now, in order to avoid duplicates on the Q, I needed to delete my Outlook profile - which cleared out all contacts off the phone, but then I got them right back in when synced to T-bird.
