Angry Motorola Q and Failure to Active Sync with PC

I have had it with this thing. I cannot begin to tell you the lost productive hours I have had trying to get Microsoft Active Sync and my Q to talk to each other. I have uninstalled and reinstall active sync so many times now I can do it in my sleep. It works for a few times each time then stops all together. Then this cycle starts all over again. Is anyone having the same problems. I have deleted all of the firewalls so that is not an excuse. I have set up all of the Incoming and out going TCP/IP ports as specified by Microsoft.

EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED USER!!!!

Oh wow this is EASY. Sorry to hear you having issues.
On your Q Do this.
Start/settings/connections/usb to pc/make sure the box is UNCHECKED!!!!
This happened to me when I first got my Q and I called Motorola about it.
2 minutes on the phone once I got hold of someone.

Thanks for your reply Trooper. Between Microsoft and Verizon both have been of little help. I will try this today after all of the meetings I still have to print out.

Failure to Active SYnc with PC

TO Trooper - Brilliant! I have spent 2 days and hours with Verizon and Moto. My husband and I both got Qs on Saturday, 12/30. He directed me to the Forums...there you were with an answer. Now I just have to figure out why it will not let me select "Contacts" to sync...it does Favorites and Calendar and Email...but it does not let me select contacts. Anyway, thanks!

Trooper - Thanks for the guidance. I spent 2 days with the same problem and it was resolved in an instant.

once i get to connections all i see is Beam and VPN

no need to curse dude... i have a sprint phone and i see it under that tab, and those guys have vzw. it may be because your carrier is telus...
